SARC COMPETITION

SARC is unique in that participants can research any topic they want!

This competition is not limited to the sciences. Your research topic can range from political science, art, and economics to engineering, history, or any other field of interest.

Researchers can choose a topic they’re passionate about, something they wish to dive deeper into, or something they want to study in university.


The High School Academic Research Competition is where talented students from around the world compete to publish high-quality research on any topic.

SARC challenges students to sharpen their critical thinking skills, immerse themselves in the research process, and hone their writing skills for success.




WHERE WILL IT TAKE PLACE AND WHO CAN COMPETE:

SARC is open to all high school students aged 13-18. We also accept entries from 9th graders who have yet to turn 13, as well as recent high school graduates who are taking a gap year and are not enrolled in university credits.

The competition is hosted completely online, breaking down geographical barriers and providing students from all over the world access to explore and develop their research interests.

HOW DOES THE COMPETITION WORK

SARC is an individual research competition and is not open to group entries.After registration, provide answers to a few short questions about your research topic (Assessment Form).


Gain experience by participating in exclusive bootcamps on subjects like research proposal development and data analysis from experts in their fields.Submit your 1-2 page research proposal shortly after all bootcamps end.


The top 10 research proposals are chosen to advance to the next round. Each finalist films and submits a 3-5 minutes elevator pitch video.Winners are declared based on the quality of their research proposal and video.
